The Landsharks start off the season (1-0) with a 26-6 win over the Nightmare in a breezy Saturday afternoon. The game showcased multiple long runs by rookie RB Jesse Galvan, a 60 yrd punt return almost to then endzone by Brandon Highsmith, a 45 yrd. reception by WR Marco Guzman & an Interception by LB Mitch & CB Ruben Trevino, who almost took it for six. The Sharks will host the Alice Devils who are coming off a 30-6 loss to the South Tx. Outlaws.

The time has come for the 2009 regular season kickoff. Originally the sharks were scheduled to host the South Texas Outlaws from Brownsville, but after some last minute schedule and division changes, the sharks are now scheduled to face the Gulf Coast Nightmare based out of Harlingen-San Benito area.
